RE: how do you know if you have abs

If you have ESC, electronic stability control, you have antilock brakes.

If you have a light on the instrument panel that says ABS during the self test(when the oil, airbag, etc. lamps light)when you first start the engine, you have ABS.

If you have multiple brake lines emerging from the master cylinder, you have ABS.

If when you slam on brakes fast enough to skid, and you hear and feel the wheels go bump bump bump, you have ABS.

Look for the HECU (Hydraulic and Electronic Control Unit) located on the passenger side of the engine compartment by the strut tower. There will be a bunch of brake lines running to the unit..

I guess that's what I meant when I said master cylinder. It's easy to see though, with a bunch of metal hydraulic lines sprouting out of it.
