How to remove the rotors on a 97 Hyundai Sonata?
Hello,
I just changed the front brake pads on my 97 Hyundai Sonata and found that one of the rotors needs to be changed. Do I need to remove the entire hub assembly to remove the rotor? The Haynes manual I own shows bolts holding the rotor to the hub. I've looked at the outer side of the rotor and stuck my head in the wheel well to get a look at the inner side and did not see these bolts in either case.
If I could loosen the carrier bolts I would remove the castle nut and remove the entire assembly but unfortunately between some serious torquing and WD40 I have not yet been able to remove the carrier bolts. Any suggestions on how to do this? Should I try to get a torch back there?
Thanks,
david
