I received a Christmas Card from Hyundai in California last week that included a " Gift Certificate $25 toward any service or repair ".

I tried to use it yesterday for my scheduled 22500 mile checkup as scheduled in the owner's manual. After the service was completed, I found out that the service rep had refused the coupon because it said in small print on the bottom " Excludes oil changes ".

I phoned Customer Care in Fountain Valley (where I think the coupon came from) and was told that it could not be used toward the oil change portion of the scheduled service.

 

That's why you have to read the fine print.
