hyundai sonata 2013, it shut off in the middle of a drive was able take it to a shop apparently it was a rely so it was bought, now car will turn on but, now the battery wont recharge, so what it does is that when it is on the battery will die. The voltage lowers once the car is on it will decrease from 14 volts. the shop tried to trouble shoot but then said they needed to take it to an electricion so he can reprogram the batttery. what can the problem be.

 

We don't have enough info here to offer anything worthwhile, however, we can ask some questions.
When the shop supposedly checked the vehicle , do you know if they verified the charging system was working? Sounds like it may not be.
If the battery requires replacement, reprogramming it is done after replacement.
