Default Just got the Bill ,timing belt and balance belt

Just got the Bill , 2nd timing belt and 1stbalance belt at 107K miles it wasn't covered under 120K or 12 year warranty, labor towing $785.00 total ,does this sound right

Yeah $785 sounds like you went to the dealer. Pretty big rip-off. You could have had it done for less than half that at a reputable independent mechanic. Least you took care of it. Break that belt on a pre-2006 Sonata and you need a new engine. On an older vehicle a new engine is as much as the car is worth. I'm sure more than a few older Hyundais have went to the junk yard because of that. I traded in my 01 Elantra right at 60k partly because the warranty was up and I was looking at changing the belt and just didn't feel like doing it when I was planning on trading it in soon.

If you had it done at a dealer, (flat rate), that's just about right
