Default MY 07 SONATA I4 WITH POWER PACKAGE

Hello my Sonata has 1500 miles on it now.So I decided to test it .I can't believe the power it has. From higway speed touch the gas pedal it downshifts to third then if you floor it it goes into second. The damn thing almost snaps your neck.I could only imagine what the 6 cyliner is like. It is very comfortable driveing it slow around town and turns into a animal on the road. The only complaint is the fuel sloshing in the tank when near full.My price for the car out the door without tax and tags was $ 17400.It get only 1 MPG les then the Elantra on the road.I hear the new 07 Elantra gets 36 highway .Mine is marked 24 and 33. I averaged 29 MPG so far.I'm glad i switched from Honda.

Turn down your radios, fill up your tank, drive around, use the brake like you normally do and listen there is a sloshing in the gas tank when full. It goes away after it gets a touch lower. My 06 does the same thing.

I have the 2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited in Ebony Black with the Platinum Edition Package. To answer your question about the power, it blows the I4 off the road!!!! 234 hp and 226 ft lbs of torque my friend vs. the I4's 164 hp and 162 ft lbs of torque. Trust me, it's not a contest! The V6 also is a 5 speed Shiftronic Automatic vs. the I4's Shiftronic. For the long run on this car, the V6 is a better bet considering the size, type and weight of the car (i.e., lesser wear and tear on the tranny in particular).

Oh! and if you are not careful, you'll drive home with speeding citations very often lol......

we just bought a 07 sonata gls. 4cyl. yawn. we got 25mpg in town. my wife works 2 miles from home and 99% of her trips are under 3 miles. the caddy STS she parked averaged 12mpg in town. i totally agree the V6 will walk all over the 4cyl model. going thru 7 stoplights in 1 mile really makes a 4cyl a wise choice.

I sometimes also hear that sloshing every so often, but I overlook it.
