Question New owner, needs serious help!

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum. Two days ago I got delivery of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I have no idea which "trim" it is cause no one really discusses trim levels here, more like options. For the issue that's going to be discussed, it sits on 17's!

Anyway, it has about 500 kilometers on the odometer and since I got it two days ago, I realized something horrendous. The handling is just mediocre. If I am driving on the highway (going at 80-100 kilometers) and I slightly pinch the steering left or right, I feel that rear of the car is going out of control, as if I'm about to drift. Now notice I said pinch, which is barely anything. If I am doing higher speeds, it gets even worse. Sometimes when the weather is windy, I feel like the car is SO NOT balanced. Looking at some online reviews, lot's of people are saying the handling is great.

In my opinion and my experience, I believe what I am driving right now is far from great. It drives like a 1991 Caprice Classic and I am worried that this IS how the car is? I have driven a 2008 Sonata and it drives just fine.

Anyone else experience that? Or can someone please explain wth is going on here? Finally, I'm not assuming or making stuff up. I know cars VERY VERY well.

BESIDES THAT, awesome car

Have the alignment numbers verified..

Tell them shove the specs up their rear... you want +0.04 toe at each corner, NO LESS than 0.00 at each rear.

Camber at front is what you got, just look for it to be pretty even, with no more than 0.5 spread side to side.

Caster is what you got, as long as it is near identical, move on.

Rear Camber may be adjustable,,, if it is, -0.25 to -0.50... NO MORE !!
