I have a 2011 Hynduai Sonata. Having trouble starting. Push start. Replaced brake sensor. Override doesn't work. Shaking gear shift doesn't work. Eventually after so many tries it cranks up. Any suggestions?

 

Try holding the key FOB right next to the start button and see if it starts better. If it does , the battery in the FOB needs to be replaced..

 

Placing the key next to the push start was not an option till 2013 you will have to put the key in the center console

 

What do you suppose the poster meant by "Push Start" ?

 

That he has the button to push to start engine after one steps on the brakes.
The option to put the key next to the button to see if the battery was weak was not until 2013
Sensor must have been somewhere else in 2011???
