I have a 2001 Sonata and I would like to upgrade the stereo.
How do you remove the parts of the dash around the radio to get at it? I've tried a few places but I am worried about pulling too hard and breaking something.


Also I have the 2.4 litre motor - is this motor an interference engine?
I will need to change the timing belt soon.

Yes the 2.4L is an interference engine. So get that timing belt replaced at 60k. As for removing the radio trim. Take a plastic trim removal tool and start prying along the outside edges of the trim. I believe its just held in by clips. After you get one side of it off the rest should come off no problem.
