Default RE: 2008 Stock Stereo

Well, So I went and got a brand new sonata lastnight, we love the car. We had a 2004 toyota matrix that kept falling apart. So anyway, my question is, does the stock stereo in the sonata have any outputs like pre-amp outputs. I kept my system I had in my matrix so was wanting to put it in the new car. Im trying to see if theres a way to hook up my amp and sub box without having to buy anything or hoping the stock stereo has RCA amp outputs. Any info would be appreciated, Thank you

Several stereo head units were offered on the 2008 Sonata, but all appear to have been made by Infinity and all have a similar layout. The attachment is the connector schematic for the 6 CD/XM version. None have RCA connectors for the purpose you describe. The system already has an external amplifier. Sorry, but no, I have no experience wiring up subwoofers to this type of system. I did help my son wire in one once on a Nissan, but that stereo (like yours) had RCA jacks to facilitate the installation.

Good luck.

P.S. This schematic was on the Hyundai Service Site at http://www.hmaservice.com/. The site is excellent for those that like to do things themselves with their cars.
