Default Resources for Hyundai Drivers.com

I figured a website like the above for information on our cars existed. I used it for a previous vehicle and they are quite comprehensive and sometimes quicker to use than the manuals. Well, a long story short, if you buy a used Hyundai and the previous owner has registered on the same site, you are screwed. You must register to use the site. Unless of course you don't mind telling them EVERYTHING, so you can use the same site for the same car! Seriously, they want proof of purchase, state registration info, address, first born male child, on and on... More paperwork than you'd probably need at your DMV. I wonder how long it would take until your mailbox and email was flooded with Hyundai broachers? Plus who knows what else? Thank goodness the previous owner kept all the manuals and it is a fairly easy car to program the options. This Hyundai Forum website helps, too. Cheers

Thanks for the heads up.
Most folks don't realize there are people just waiting for personal info unknowingly posted on the web and now is for sale to some people with not the best of intentions.

I looked for some cream to put on my sore shoulder, on the net, and almost the next day my inbox got flooded with every pain relief product imaginable. Also, I made a mistake of looking on the net for health insurance supplements to my medicare. I must get 50 calls a day with insurance sales pitches....and it occurs every day! My brother in law told me his brother, who's single and home alone, falls for all of the sales pitches and has boxes of products sitting in rooms that he paid for but will never use! Those advertisers are clever and will stop at nothing to make a buck. Looks like they even have attached themselves to our beloved Hyundai sites. Nothing is off limits!

A good rule to keep in mind,
If you would not want it to appear on the front page of the newspaper, don't put it on the net.

Thanks everyone. That's just too much info to give out for something I may not use.
