parking lights stayed on after engine off unless I moved the light switch through the options a few times. I also saw this reported for a santa fe. the dealership replaced the junction box. this resolved the light issue but within 2 weeks the interior car fan failed to come on until doing the same procedure. got progressively worse, now failing to come on. could the wiring been done incorrectly when attaching the new junction box. if the junction box is bad again could anything else be causing that?

 

We have replaced a number of IP fuse blocks for bum internal relay that keeps a turn signal or marker light on in the past.

We did have 1 fan issue that I recall another tech having... something to do with Hyundai simply running a line in 1 connector, and it pass straight through and out a 2nd connector,, what the reason is, who knows ?

According to the ETM, the power just flows through, so we suspect the buss inside cannot carry the load. Tech took and installed a heavy jumper wire from connector 1 to the appropriate wire at connector 2, there by by-passing the IP block.

Seems to me it was the 2nd and 3rd IP blocks into the car before he just installed the jumper and was done with it.
