on my new 09 with the 3.3 when i fill it up with gas the trip computer says range 220 miles.on the 06 sonata i traded for it with the same engine it would say 375 mile range.is this for real or would the trip computer be off and need re caculating?

 

According to the published numbers the 3.3 in 2009 is slightly more fuel efficient than the previous years so there must be a problem there. Sounds like a visit to the dealer will be in order as you might have a faulty unit.

 

I thought it merely applied the 'avergage mile per gallon rating' to the amount of fuel estimated in the tank, giving you a total mileage estimate. Is your average MPG lower in the new car?
