Talking Starter Motor Failure

Had problems starting, eventually the car would not start at all.
I could hear the solenoid contacting but the engine would not turn over.
Looked around on the net and bought a solenoid repair kit from a company called Repair Kits UK.
Took the stater motor off, there are three 17mm bolts holding it in place.
2 accessed from under the car, the bottom one is easy and bolts in from the front of the gear box bell mouth. The middle one is also accessed from under the car, but the bolt is on the back of the gear box bell the thread in the stater motor itself. This one is a bit awkward to get out.
The third bolt is accessed by putting your arm down the back of the turbo charger, this one is a real pain to get off.
Once all three bolts are off the starter motor comes away easily.
I followed the instructions that came with the kit, and it took about 15 mins to change the solenoid bits.
Once the starter motor was back and the electrics re-connected the car started first time, great.
This kit saved me a lot of money, as I did not have to buy a new or re-conditioned motor.
