Default '00 Tib. Engine Problem (Alternating Blinking and Solid Engine Light)

I need opinions/help. I have a 2000 Tiburon.

Driving to work this morning my engine light came on (blinking). My car seems to be acting a bit like a go-cart now. The engine needs to rev alot before I have any sort of acceleration ability.

In the past I have had this problem when it has rained overnight... Engine light comes on, I have a lack of power, car heats up, car acts normal, light goes out in a day or two.

Last night it didn't rain and my car started acting this way after I had been driving it for 20 minutes. The "check engine light" would light up solid on my dash and then start blinking for a few minutes. Then light up solid, then blink, etc,etc,etc... Now when I am driving it, it seems to be trying to stall on me. Any thoughts?

you have a missfire my friend , common problem is the h/t leads or plug wires. check them for arching . it will look like lightning streaks down the leads.
