2003 Tiburon Thermostat Replacement
Hi2u viewers. I am trying to help out my girlfriend, and i have little to basic knowledge on cars. Current project....2003 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0 4cylinder getting a little warm. just rolled over 100,000 miles. Is that alot for this car? I just got the 3 serpentine belts replaced yesturday which were extremely wore. It started heating up when the symptoms were starting to show with the wore out belts. I was in hopes the belts were to wore to turn the water pump. However, I didnt get that lucky. Today I went and bought a thermostat, and fitting gasket. i got a simple list of instructions, but they weren't quite enough to help me get the job done.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
- Drain the coolant down to thermostat level or below.
- Remove the coolant outlet fitting and gasket.
- Remove the thermostat.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Can anybody help me give me details that would give me a better informed way of understanding what im doing?
