I'm having a problem with my dash lights

I recently installed a new headunit, which caused me to blow a couple fuses.

Now when I want to turn on my dash lights, I have to turn the switch once, turn the switch into the off position, and then turn the switch on a second time and the lights will come on.

Anyone know what this problem is or know how to fix it?
