Default engine cover removal

I just bought my 08 Tiburon SE and after I took off the 3 bolts it's still hung on something in the middle. Does anyone know what this is? I think it might just be snapped in but I'm afraid to break something if it's not. Any help would be much appreciated.

On my 1999 you have to remove the oil filler cap.

it clears the oil fill cap with plenty of space it's something underneath the cover in the middle, almost like it's clipped in. Thanks for response though.

The "crooked H" emblem is not part of the cover. It snapson and covers 1 or 2 bolts. Pry the "H" up and you will see.

Mine didn't come with the "crooked H" like most so I was able to see that bolt your talking about so that's not it. I took off 3 bolts and see no more. All the edges come up a little bit but it seems like it's hung on something in the middle underneath the cover. Do I need to just tug a little harder or will that break the cover?

See that big "crooked H", (H) emblem just to the left of the oil fill cap? Pry it up and remove the bolt(s) under it. You also have to pry up 4 of the 6 silver "ribs" or "fake intake runners" to remove bolts under them too.

If you engine cover doesn't look like the one above, post a pic of yours.

the only bolts I didn't find at the time were the two under the fake flaps and I found them the other day by accident and the " I wonder if " factor, we've all been there. Thank you so much for your input though.

Not to bring up an old thread. but THANK YOU so much for having this posted. I tried for almost an hours to get the cover off so I could replace my radiator hoses.
