Default Hazard Light...WTF?

Hello,
I am brand new to this site and to Hyundai's. One of my soldiers has a 2005 Tibby, 4cylinder. Her turn signals work properly but her hazards do not work. I was looking for a hazard warning flasher, or relay or switch or something to no avail. I called the dealership and the parts guy said that the vehicle had...not sure but Body Control Module I think that was bad or a bad wire.

I would appreciate ANY insite, imput or something to help me understand and fix this problem. Or is this just something thats best to take to the Dealer.

Ok I am going to try that route. I just hate going to the Dealership if its something that could have been easily corrected.

It probably is something simple, but since it's under warranty, why worry? It's crazy, but something as simple as hazard lights does, in fact, go through the BCM on the 05 Tib.

It cost her $93.00 to fix it. A wire was messed up and they said it was not under warranty. Thanks for your suggestions.

Unless the wire was obviously messed up by something like a radio installation, that should still be covered under warranty. You may not get anywhere, but try sending a letter to the Hyundai customer contact (I think there is a phone number/address in the owners manual). It's worth the cost of a stamp to try; who knows, she could get her $93 back!
