here are pics of my 07 heater blower motor switch I really thinks this is dangerous. you should check your own.

 

That looks like the harness for the blower controller. My guess is the bolower is dying and overheating the system. Has the blower ever been replaced? Was the blower fuse ever replaced (with a higher amp fuse)?

 

it is the harness for the blower controller. it melted 12 months and 1 week ago I had it replaced under warranty. it melted again but now out of warranty so i took it apart to replace it my self and that is what I found. the car has no modifications at all every thing including fuses are OEM. The wiring cannot support the current its passing
