in line fuse from battery to starter?
i had to replace my battery , got distracted and touch neg to pst and vise virsa , but only for a sec, unfortunatly it only takes a sec with elect. now when i turn my key...silence, thats all i get. i checked all the fuses with multimeter, all good. i checked battery its pushing 12.5v. is there an inline fuse from battery to starter? is there a switch i need to check under my dash that links to key? this is a 2000 auto(4cyl) tiburon

Well if all the fuses in the box under the hood and in the box under the dash check out and the shifter is in Park or Neutral, then I am at a loss to solve your problem. There is a circuit board module under the dash called the ETACS that I have heard is sensitive to voltage spikes like this, but I don't know if a fried ETACS would keep the car from starting. Hopefully someone else with ETACS experience will chime in. The forum moderator, NovaResource, is the resident Tiburon expert or at least use to own one.
