Hello. I must replace the starter in my 2003 Tiburon GT V6 auto trans but have no clue how to do it. It is too costly to send to a mechanic since it is dead in the water now and would need towing in addition to parts n labor. WHen I try to start it, nothing happens, and when a jumper box was used it sucked it dry instantly. Nor could an AAA truck jumpstart it. Nothing electrical will work at all, even the window is stuck in down position since there is no power in the battery. It wont even click when jumped. And when I try to start it with a really big truck jumping, the lights to out totally. So it must be the starter in my opionion and that of the AAA road service person.
Any advice would be appricated, particularly how to get the old one out and new one in. I hae the engine shrouds off already. Thanks.,
