You dont want wider tires for a winter tire, you would actually benefit from a skinnier tire as it cuts through the snow better, if you dont believe me google it.
But to answer your question, Im not sure about the 17inch rim cuz the RD tibs are 15"
im sure if you just had a tire for winter 205 or skinnier would be better.

i agree with alex01tib, for snow tires, u want skinnier, not fatter tires. anything fatter then like a 205 will drive on top of slush and snow. a skinier tire will dig into the snow and slush and give u better traction.
