Question suspension woes

Just had my 60,000 mile service on my 2003 tibby. Timing belt, accessory drive belt, water pump, tensioner, the whole schmear at the front of the engine. Now its bouncing all over like a car with no shocks. What part of the suspension did the mechanic have to fool with to do the engine work?

Default Suspension Springs

How hard is it too replace my springs on a tibby? I got a lowering kit for Christmas but I don't really want to pay to have them installed.

The rears are easy but the fronts require that you remove the struts and have a spring compressor to replace them.

eh, i found a place that installed them for $165, so i just went with that, looks great but the front right spring is popping when i crank on the wheel, the mechanic said it just has to set in. Does this sound right?
