Default timing belt

hi new at ths i have a 1999 tiburon 2.0 enging i am changing the timing belt the book say the mark on the crank is on the right side can not find it i can see the mark on the left side of engine look though the right wheel well is that the mark thanks.

You are mixing up left and right. It's not talking about left and right as you look at the engine from the front of the car. It's talking about right side of the block when looking at the timing gears from the passenger side of the car.

i know where the timing mark is on the cam,the book say the timing mark on the block is on the right looking though the right wheel well, can not find it, there is one on the left side is that the one i used thanks.

Align the timing marks of the camshaft sprocket and crankshaft sprocket with the No. 1 piston placed at top dead center and its compression stroke.

Default timing belt

THANK YOU that is the way i was doing to do, it copmpression stroke is when number one is top dead center and valves are close (right)
