I have a 99 Tiburon automatic, and the transmission is acting weird. When sitting at a stop light you almost have to power brake the car to keep it running, it shifts hard and seems like it is running higher rpms than it should on the highway. The check engine light came on and I had a diagnostic done and it said one of the transmission gear ratios was incorrect and I was told by a friend who had a tiburon it was the pulse generators that needed replaced, but I can't find the part listed on autozone's website, is this a dealer only item? Also does it sound like the pulse generators could be causing this?
