Can the factory 2 liter handle a turbo.. How much of a h.p. increase will I be looking and How much is good turbo

 

Just about any engine can handle a turbo. It depends on how much boost you run to determine how much HP gains you will have. Its usually around 11 HP to 1 psi.

 

I've heard of a few people on other boards putting turbos on their Elantras which share the 2 liter engine with the Tibby. It can be done.

 

Easily done...

My 03' 2.0L has been in the works for quite some time now, recently just put down 341wHP / 297tq on the dyno with a t3/t4 turbo and a built engine... Re-doing the head/valves right now, along with a new p&p'd intake manfiold and awaiting the new msd dis-2 ignition and cranking the boost up to 30psi
