Default Inside Fan Controls not working

Hi, my fans have stopped working which is a nightmare to demist the windscreen. My Dad has wired the fan direct to the battery and its working so were assuming its the speed control dial, there are no clicks when its turned. What parts do I need to fix this - or so he can can fix this!

Thanks

wELL ITS NOT THE DIAL ITSELF, IF YOU REMOVE THE DIAL AND TURN THE STICK, NOTHING HAPPENS.

I don't mean changing the round plastic dial; I meant changing the electronic box behind the center trim that the dials attaches to.

Thanks - dont worry I have no intention of doing it myself but I live in rural ireland with only the one car and my garage is 15 miles away with nothing close by, so I have to hang around for hours with a toddler to entertain everytime it goes in, then they order the part, then it goes in again so if I can have the part ready - hey only one trip or if my dADS flying over for a weekend, he can do it at home.

Do you have the part number, Im not finding it on google.

Thanks

We don't get the Trajet here in the States so I don't know exactly where so you'll have to check the owners manual for that. Generally there are located along with the fuses in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
