Default 2005 radio warranty / replacement

The radio in my daughter's 2005 Tucson is apparently faulty and draining the battery. The dealership where she is, Ithaca NY, says that it's not under warranty - they just pulled the fuse to solve the problem. So, I have two questions (1) Does anyone know for certain whether the radio warranty has expired and (2) Can anyone recommend a replacement? Thanks, Doug

It's actually 36 month/three years for radio warranty according to the Hyundai warranty procedures manual. Other people who try to replace their radios with aftermarket complain that the wire connectors don't match up. Get a stock one from a junkyard is my suggestion.

Yep, the radio is only warrantied for 3years. I'd suggest finding an identical factory unit on eBay.
