Default 2008 Hyundai Tucson V6 4WD gas mileage

Hello everyone, I just purchased a 2008 Hyundai Tucson V6 4WD that has 120K kms. I am coming from a 2013 Mazda 3 GS-SKY and that was amazing on gas. I was expecting an increase in gas consumption moving to an SUV but didn't realize how bad this is on gas. What is everyone getting for kms per tank? I am getting about 250kms to half a tank.

Are you going on what you see on the fuel gauge or by how much fuel it took to fill the tank since the last fill reading?

When the tank is almost empty I fill it and use the trip odometer.

Yeah, I went from a 2001 Elantra to a 2007 Honda CRV all wheel drive.
Carrying around all the hardware for all wheel drive takes it toll on gas mileage.
Plus it is a much bigger vehicle.

Hi...I just got my 09 recently, 270,000 km on it but still in reasonable shape. I have been monitoring gas mileage, get about 450km on a tank. I throw in a Lucas cleaner every second tank. I do the same on my Dodge cummins diesel and it just turned 430,000 kms.

Thanks Burmisdog, Thats about what I am getting. I'll try and throw a bottle of cleaner in on my next fill up, definitely won't hurt.
