Default 2013 Hyundai Tucson Trailer Hitch

Hi swordmaster,

So long as your getting the OEM Hyundai Tucson Trailer Hitch, the answer is a guaranteed yes. I can't really answer about any of the aftermarket hitches. But at least with the OEM, it was factory tested before it was placed on the market.

Don't forget some helpful extras from us:
1. Free shipping within the Continental USA.
2. No tax if you are outside New York State.
3. Use this coupon code for 10% off your purchase: codehf

And don't be afraid to ask! That's the point of the forum! Let any of us know if there's any other questions.

Hello , thanks for the reply! I think i wans not too clear with my question. What i meant was is the Tucson pre-wired for a hitch. From the link you provided it says that the hitch comes with a wiring harness to connect to the tail lights. This would seem to suggest that some dismantling of the vehicle is required to expose the tail lights

I know it's been a month since you asked, but I just started looking at hitch setups debating what I want to do. I'm going through a little phase called "I-miss-my-truck".

All indications are that you will have to remove the left tail light housing and get into the left cargo panel to access the connectors needed for the T-harnesses on the market. I have seen pictures of guys just opening up the back half of the cargo panel so they don't have to remove the seats, and using a bungee cord to hold the panel away from the wiring that they need to get to. Some of the $50-60 harnesses aren't entirely plug-and-play.

If you still need the info, you can PM me for links with pictures.

PM sent to swordmaster.

Just be careful with the panel removal. Some are tricky, but go slow and don't use bare metal tools. You should be able to reach everything without having to remove the rear seat and whole side panel.
