I need to new suv to replace my old one. I get a quota from autopriceshare program and local dealer match it. $20794 for 2015 Tucson FWD GLS. However, the local dealer suggest me to choose the AWD version which costs $1432 more.
My city rarely snow and it seems AWD is not useful. The local dealer said AWD will give you more 'driving pleasures', is it really?

He's lying to you. Save your money. FWD is all you need if it doesn't snow much or you don't go off-road. It will be cheaper to fuel as well.

I got the SE AWD model because of the last 2 winters here in NJ. I am Averaging roughly 26 MPG in mixed driving. Some morning I leave for work its about 40F outside. I have seen the MPG gauge show as high as 34 once.
