Help with removing rear seat in 2006 tucson

Default Help with removing rear seat in 2006 tucson

Hi. I could use some help with how to remove to drivers side rear seat in a 2006 Tucson so I can change the fuel pump and fuel filter. Thanks

SEAT ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

1. After removing the cushion frame hinge cover (A), loosen the mounting bolts.Fold the cushion (B).

2. Loosen the recliner hinge (C) mounting nut and bolt, then rear seat assembly (D).

3. Installation is the reverse of removal.

SEAT MOUNTING BOLT AND NUT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE.
- Tighten temporarily in the order of nut and bolt on the front of recliner hinge installation part.
- After completely tightening completely the bolt on the back of the recliner hinge installaion part, tighten the bolt on the front of it completely.
- Setting down the seat cushion, tighten the mounting bolt of the cushion frame hinge.
- Check if reclining the seat and folding seat back operate smoothly.






REMOVAL (INCLUDING FUEL FILTER AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR)

1. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.

2. Remove the rear seat cushion flame hinge bolts, and then lift the cushion (Refer to group “BD” in this Service Manual).

3. Remove the service cover (A) under the carpet.

4. Disconnect the fuel pump wiring connector (A).

5. Remove the fuel feed hose (B) and suction hose (C).

6. Remove the fuel pump plate mounting bolts (D).

7. Remove the fuel pump assembly.


INSTALLATION

1. Install the fuel pump according to the reverse order of "REMOVAL" procedure.
