Default How to install exterior moulding

I ordered a rear door (passenger side) moulding for my 2008 Hyundai Tucson. The original moulding was damaged and it got ripped off the car in a car wash.

Anyway, I have not received the moulding yet, but has anyone ever installed one of these? From the look of it, it seems like a couple of clips and screws to hold it in place, but is there more to it?

Screws, clips and 2-sided tape. The black arrows are screws, the white arrows are clips and the white squares are tape:

That was fast.. pretty much what I thought it would be. I might need to order more 2-sided tape.

The trim probably comes with the tape installed.

Well, turns out I have to spray paint the moulding with the Dark Gray (ZW) colour. Somehow, I thought the moulding would come with that colour, it didn't looked like it was painted

FYI, the trim did not come with the two sided tape. The clip that I bought were jointed with a two sided tape, but they were seperate.

Are you sure you ordered the correct cladding? There are 2 types. One is supposed to be unpainted and has a texture to it. The other is smooth and supposed to be painted. That's one of the differences between the mid-level SE and the top level Limited:

Mine is like the SE. I gave Hyundai my car identification number, not sure how they could get it wrong. When i received it, I thought they had given me the wrong piece too, but they said it's the only piece available and they all need to be painted.

Called Hyundai Canada and they confirmed that all cladding coming to NA from Korea are unpainted and black. I will get it spray painted or do it myself with the colour code. Just one more step that I thought was not necessary

I see no instructions or graphic from you whatsoever. It's time to point out that the item is called "cladding" (why?) and none of you gives any instruction on how to install one nor can I find one with my Google search. BTW, mine fell off for no apparent reason and appears to be the epitome of trash engineering.
