Nasty rotor wear
I put new front rotors and pads on my Daughter's Tucson about 2 years a go and went to inspect them last week because she said they sounded bad. At first glance, the rotors and pads looked good then I looked at the inside and was bummed. The top half of the rotor was rusted and rotted. Before I dive into the job, I am trying to figure out if I am going to need new calipers. Both sides look the same. I'm wondering if I installed the pads wrong or something. Guess I will know more when I get it apart.
If the piston seems to push in smoothly and look good, can I assume the calipers might be OK? I don't mind replacing them, but if I don't have to...
Thanks
Steve
