2013 Elantra Recirculation of Air in cabin NOT WORKING
Hi all,
So I own a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited Sedan and when I depress the Air Intake (recirculate button for either outside air - light off or inside air mostly - light on) it illuminates as it should but I do not hear the door open for inside air circulation. Usually on most cars I've owned, you hear it get louder because door opens that allows most inside air to then circulate, versus outside air entry.
So I looked at the relays under hood (that I could guesstimate might be related) and fuses, etc. and I don't see anything wrong. I even swapped two that were same part number related to blower just to see if any change, but none observed. Since the light illuminates when I press for inside air only, and it does not get louder and it does not seem to get colder as you would expect, I don't think it is working and don't know why. Air conditioning working fine, heat working fine, defroster working fine, all other functions working as designed.
Any thoughts suggestions ideas as to what might be the issue.

On most units when Recirc is selected, a door that allows outside air to come in moves to close the outside port and only allow inside air to take it's place. You may need to remove the glove box to look if that door is stuck or the actuator is malfunctioning.
