Hello everyone!
New to the forum but have had 5 new Hyundai since 2002. A 2002 Sonata and then Sante Fes in 2004,2006,2007, and our current 2008. Wife drives 60 miles one way to work so the miles pile up. We had been trading every couple of years at about 60,000 miles but plan to drive our current 08 (81,000 miles now) until the wheels fall off and then we are going to put the wheels back on and drive it some more. Wife has been hinting for an Outback or Forester lately but I remind her about the wheels coming off her Sante Fe!
I drive a company vehicle HHR. I own 3 Opels (a 1970 GT, a 1967 Kadett Rallye I am restoring, and a 1975 Opel Manta) so most of my on-line time is on Opelgt.com tending to the Opel needs.
What brought me to the forum was trying to get advice on how to change the left low beam headlight believe it or not. There is a thread on the issue so I will make a post on there which may help the next guy. I can rebuild an Opel engine but can't change a headlight bulb on a Hyundai????????

But that is what was so frustrating on the Sante Fe. I removed the bolts and 1 nut to remove the light pod assembly and it was loose but would not come out. There is a "clip" mentioned, which according to the service manual is down below by the bumper mount/ fender connect area, that it says to be careful not to break. I never did find that but it may have been what was preventing the assembly from coming out.
