I am car shopping my price range is up to 4500. i currently drive a 98 saturn sl2 5 speed. it has been a good car but i want something with lower miles as i am having my second child. the joys of father hood. so anyway i am in college and have a job so i put 20,000 easy a year on a car. my wife only puts about 7,500 on a car a year so she will be getting the saturn. my question is this. how reliable are the elantra's and sonata's ? what are common issues? ill be looking at years between 2002-2005 most likely. i am in auto tech and enjoy working on cars so fixing stuff isn't a problem. How do the sonata's and the Elantra's stack up against the honda and toyota competition or even the domestic counter parts? all advice and info is appreciated. i am glad to be here.
