Default lookin to buy a sonata!

hey guys, i just had a transmission blow in my 95 sable and ive been looking at new cars. Ive found a 1997 sonata for about 2500, with 62k miles. Im just wondering what you guys think of this and if anyone can give me any insight on the reliability of this car that would be great!

also ill attach a picture here. http://photos.krononsolutions.com/1/.../hhm3v_640.jpg

also, does this look as if the hood isnt shutting? i cant tell if its just not closed or if something happened to it.

Judging from the scuff marks on the urethane cover on the front clip, the dimple on the left lower facia and poor fitting hood, I would say the car has been in a collision of some sort. It's tough to tell from jpeg photos, but the hood looks freshly painted. The attached photo shows a 97 Sonata with a proper fitting front clip and/or hood. A clean 97 with base trim and a I4 engine should sell for no more than $2,000. I would write down the VIN and order a Carfax report. Smart thing to do on any used car, but particularly so on one that doesn't look quite right.
