Modifications.
I am new to these things but my husband joined one and is on it non-stop. Must be something to it. I have a 2005 Hyundai elantra and I am looking to make some modifications to it. Got any good suggestions?
There are always suggestions. If you want to start small or cheap the formula is always the same. Spark plugs, bigger diameter wires, cold air intake, exhaust. Theses little things will give you a nice start.
The best quickie suspension mod you can do is the Tiburon rear sway bar upgrade. Basically, get a rear sway bar from a Tiburon and put it on your Elantra. The rear sway bars are identical on the two cars, except the Tibby bar has a larger diameter and is therefore a lot stiffer.
If the car hasn't seen too much salt, it's about a 30 minute mod. You can get the Tibby sway bar either at a dealer (for $100-150), at junk yards (real or online), or by going to one of the forums where Tibby owners hang out. See the link above for details.
