Default New to Hyundai from Virginia

Currently stationed in Virginia as a master at arms in the navy. I just bought a 04 Tuscani tiburon with 70k miles on it. Don't know much about Hyundai so been doing lots of research on what I can do to this car. I got it for 1500$ so I figure it was pretty good considering trade is 2800. Been looking around to get it painted since it does have a lot of scratches and paint chips. The interior is really clean except where the shifter is. The trim around that is the shifter is scratched to hell and I'm not sure if it's repairable or if I have to buy a entire new centeral consol. A previous owner painted the rims and did a terrible job on it so I need to sand blast and shine those. Mechanically I'm not sure how the clutch is supposed to feel it feels a little non responsive at times but engages and disengages perfectly when it works how it's supposed to. It also has a starting issue where it will fire for 10 sec or so then turn over. I'm assuming spark plugs and wires but I found I have to take the intake manifold off which I will have to schedule some time to take of that. If anyone has advice or questions pls post.
