just bought a 2001 XG300 4d. wold love to hear anything anyone can tell me about this car. 118k/$2500.00 to hard to pass up. feel a shudder in the brake pedal and was wondering if anyone else had this experience?

Have the rotors checked. They are probably slightly warped. I'd suggest new ones.

nova
you arre correct sir. rotors warped. so rotor and brake pad change. calipers are fine.
tech told me that i do not nneed to worry about the set screws hilding the rotors. said that theey are factory screws and that he does not even replace them. you eever hear of that?
but at the price they quoted me to replace.. save $400.00 doing myself...

yup alot of guys leave them attaching screws off. me personally I prefer to reinstall them.... front brakes are very simple to put on the new rotors and pads......
