Squealing Noise From Front(2000 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan)
Hi everyone,
New(to me) Hyundai owner here. Recently purchased the car from a family friend after driving it awhile back and falling in love with it. I bought the car to replace my 1999 Honda Accord V6 Coupe that sadly met its fate to a bad Transmission. When i drove the car last it didnt have a squealing noise from the wheels, but to be honest i dont know where the sound is from. it only does it when i put the car in reverse to back out of a space or my driveway. The minute I shift the tranmission to drive it goes away, which to me is weird. My uncle says not to worry about it until a problem arises, but he tells me this and then i reap the benefits of a broken car when said issue arises, so i want to take care of the issue while i can now rather then later. i dug around on the forum but didnt find anything on the accent of my year, and im not sure if the answers for the Elantra would answer my question. |
Jack up front of car
Put jack stands under vehicle Chock rear wheels and spin the front wheels Hands at 12 and 6 to push pull Looking for slack Hands at 9 and 3 to push pull Looking for play Then do similar for the rear wheels Remember safety first Hope this helps Good luck |
