Squealing Noise From Front(2000 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan)
Hi everyone,
New(to me) Hyundai owner here. Recently purchased the car from a family friend after driving it awhile back and falling in love with it. I bought the car to replace my 1999 Honda Accord V6 Coupe that sadly met its fate to a bad Transmission. When i drove the car last it didnt have a squealing noise from the wheels, but to be honest i dont know where the sound is from. it only does it when i put the car in reverse to back out of a space or my driveway. The minute I shift the tranmission to drive it goes away, which to me is weird. My uncle says not to worry about it until a problem arises, but he tells me this and then i reap the benefits of a broken car when said issue arises, so i want to take care of the issue while i can now rather then later. i dug around on the forum but didnt find anything on the accent of my year, and im not sure if the answers for the Elantra would answer my question.

Jack up front of car
Put jack stands under vehicle
Chock rear wheels
and spin the front wheels
Hands at 12 and 6 to push pull
Looking for slack
Hands at 9 and 3 to push pull
Looking for play
Then do similar for the rear wheels
Remember safety first
Hope this helps
Good luck
