ULEZ Charge
Hi Everyone,
As I couldnt find much information on this I thought I would let people know my experience.
With the expansion of the ULEZ charge in London, I thought I would check my 2015 diesel I20 to see if it was exempt. Despite the fact my car is low emissions and only £20 road tax, TFL deemed it as none compliant and said that the charge applied if I drove through the ulez zone.
After some research I was 100% sure my car was Euro 6 compliant and should be exempt so I set about trying to find out how to get a certificate of conformity to prove this to TFL. Everywhere online was trying to charge £150+ for the certificate. I tried emailing hyundai but never got a reply.
Eventually I called hyundai customer care and the woman I spoke to confirmed my car was Euro 6 compliant and sent a certificate of conformity to me free of charge. Outstanding service from them with most manufacturers charging for these!
Definately worth checking your cars if you need to drive into London, just in case you have a situation like mine.
