We Bought 2!
Hi All,
First post here.
Two weeks ago, the transmission went out on my wife's '95 Accord. I wasn't going to dump that kind of money into a car that old, so we found a 2009 Accent GS Hatchback (Auto trans and power options) and bought it. It is a Hyundai Certified car with 4800 miles on it, so we still get the balance of the 10 yr/100000 mile powertrain warranty.
She loves it. We had the oil changed the next day to synthetic. As you can see we don't trade often.
I liked the car enough that we went back today and traded my '94 BMW with 194,000 miles and bought another Hyundai Certified 2009 Accent GS Hatchback- this time no power options, but only 1600 miles on it- obviously less money than the first. It's my first automatic since i was in my 20's. (i'm 43 now.)
We are both hoping that by keeping up the maintenance, we will be able to drive these cars for many years. (Actually, I have a long highway commute so I figure in 6 years, mine will have 180,000 miles on it, hers will have 60,000- so I will take hers, drive it till it has 180,000 or so and trade mine in on a new car for her.)
Also, Holler Hyundai in Winter Park Florida (Orlando area) was great to work with, easily the easiest car buying either of us has ever had.
