Unhappy Having trouble filling petrol tank on 1998 Hyundai Excel

I have a 1998 Hyundai Excel X3 Coupe. Filling up the petrol tank is taking more time and getting worse. Even when the tank is low the petrol bowser keeps on clicking off thinking that the tank is full when it isn't. I went to the wreckers and replaced the filler tube which hasn't helped. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Many people over-fill their tanks without realizing it. That causes liquid fuel to get into the charcoal canister and destroy the charcoal in it. It breaks up into little pieces and starts blocking the vent tubes causing pressure in the tank that shuts off the pump. You need clean out the tubes that connect to the charcoal canister.

Where is the charcoal canister located on the car?

Behind the right headlight and in front of the right side front wheel.
