Default FS: 2001 Hyundai Elantra GT (66K)

Looking to sell our 2001 Elantra GT. Nothing wrong with the car, just need more room. Original owner, dealer serviced, female driven, no mods. Dark Blue with black leather, auto, sunroof, CD player, all other options besides ABS. 66K currently on the car. New tires and brakes. Recently replaced trans speed sensor and both rear wheel bearings. Basically just used to get back and forth from work, thus the low miles. I can provide the Carfax upon request. Located in suburban Milwaukee, WI. Make me an offer. Contact me at bryan dot schmidt at gmail dot com if you would like more info or pictures.

Not yet. I was going to do it myself but never got around to it. I'll factor the cost of that in though...

I have an appointment for the car to get a new timing belt and once over on everything else next week Wednesday. As far as I know it needs nothing else but if it does it'll be done too. Contact me if you have any questions.

Why would you change the timing belt if you are going to sell it? The car is not worth THAT much. I think blue book is only like $3000. Anyway, don't do it on my account, I won't be buying, I was just wondering.

Why don't you try selling on craigslist or ebay? Not too many folks around here.

Because I wouldn't want someone spending thousands of dollars on the car just to have the t-belt snap right away and take the engine with it. Peace of mind is worth something to a potential buyer, isn't it? I ended up replacing the t-belt and all of the serpentine belts while I was at it. Now it really doesn't need anything. I just put it on Craigslist and have gotten a few inquiries. It does seem pretty quiet here, but I thought I'd throw up an ad just in case...

Maybe you should try eBay. You won't get the blue book value, but it will sell. Or try an ad in your local newspaper.
