PLS HELP piston pin for 99'coupe 2.0
i recently had my 99' 2.0 coupe brought on a shop to have my piston ring, valve seal, and cylinder head gasket replaced. now my mechanic said that my piston pin has a little "worn off" signs on the pin. so i decided to have my piston pin removed from it's piston and con rods through machine shop. now my problem is i don't think that it would be worth it to buy a new set of piston just to have a new piston pin thinking that my piston isstill on good condition. does somebody know where to buy a PISTON PIN FOR A 2.0 BETA ENGINE?i tried Ebay buy still i found nothing. the machine shop said that there is another way to have a good condition pin, it is to find a identical diameter and length of a 2.0 beta engine. I'ved heard that there is this toyota engine which has a identical piston pin with a coupe. now can somebody tell me what engine is it? helping me with this would be a great help because im already missing my drive with my coupe...PLLLLLSSSSSSSSS....

Sounds like you got real problems. To answer you question... did you try to go to the dealer for the "pin"? The next point is that if you needed so many engine parts, why bother trying to fix your engine, only to be disappointed when it's not so good when you're done? Did you try your local junkyard and try to get an engine there? You can find complete engines on eBay for around $500. But I guess your already up to your neck with the mechanic, so you need to continue with him. Just bare in mind that your whole car is only worth around $2000.
