PZEV & high altitude question
I posted this thread in another forum but think it may belong here instead.
I live in Colorado and am considering buying an '08 Elantra SE PZEV out of California, as they can't be found here. However, I heard a rumor the PZEV model has trouble in the higher altitude that may make it burn more gas and pollute more.
Anyone know anything about this?

RE: PZEV & high altitude question
It seems no one has anything to say about this other than Hyundai, who finally called me back after a week. They reported that diminished horsepower, such as noted on the PZEVs, will be an issue anywhere we are. So, it is likely we will burn more gas in Colorado thus negating the advantages of the PZEV motors.
We have decided to get a VW TDI Passat or Jetta; they get much better fuel economy and we can burn 100% biodiesel fuel, or a mixture in the winter. This way, we are being more responsible.
